Natural Mystic's Central American Expedition

In the first week of April, a small group of Natural Mystic officers and supporters will start on a journey from Denver, Colorado to southern Panama. At this moment a 1986 Jeep CJ-7 is being refurbished and equipped for the long road ahead.

We will be traveling with video and audio recording equipment. Along the way, we will document and record information pertaining to the state of rainforests, human conditions, and cultural diversity in the Central American corridor. Our journey will culminate with the registration of our sister organization in Panama, and the final titling of the rainforest property to the foundation. On the humanitarian aid level, we will meet with the directors of the two largest orphanages in Panama to discuss the future of these programs.

The expedition will be primarily funded by the individual participants. The Natural Mystic Foundation will fund only the gasoline budget. We are dedicated to effective applications of funding with primary attention at all times for humanitarian aid and conservation. We encourage those who would join to contact us. We look forward to hearing from photographers, journalists, videographers, members of the scientific community, and those with a sincere interest.

Tax-deductible donations for this purpose are being accepted: sat-phones, waterproof camera and audio equipment, funding for gasoline. Living expenses and outdoor gear are provided by the participants.

We are approaching various networks with proposals for a real-life adventure documentary with a powerful message that will benefit us all.

Our jeep will be kept completely stock with the only modifications being reinforcement of roll bar and custom-welded overhead carrying rack.
